Fluttering By

Hi everyone.  Thank you to all those that wished me well.  I am still not where I would like to be and am working very little but hope to be my regular self soon.  I was planning on having 3 cards done, however I am happy I have at least one.  Even though it took me all day, it turned out great.  I used a Scrapchick pattern I purchased for a really sweet price.  I found some great stuff in my stash to embellish it.  I added some charms I put together, twine(MB Tresurista), gems(Recollections), flowers & stamp (Studio G), MS doily punch,  Flourish diecut(Sizzix), ribbon, glitter dot and brad. I used rich Cocoa ink(Momento) for the stamp and Peachy Keen face(PK-573). I finished it with Glossy Accents on the eyes. Wishing you all a great week.

Welcome Portrait

I am back with a 3D project, which is not my usual.  I must apologize on the turnout. I made the mistake of thinking light pink was a good color choice.  As I saw to late it was not. and I didn't put the letter backgroun(huge mistake) because it was not going to fit. I will have to redo it.  I used MS Elegant Art cart.and MS Doily punch. From my stash I used glitter dots from Recollections, flowers from Jani @ Paper Compulsions and Studio G pink ink. Spaced Out/Happy B-Day

Hi my dear bloggie friends.  Hope you have enjoyed the week up to now.  I am so happy to say that I finally have a cart. I've been wanting for a very long.  I am sooo excited about owning the Everyday Paper Doll cart.  I decided to use the cute Astronut, even though they are all so adorable.  I placed some fun wobbles on the falling star & planet.  From my stash I found ribbon, Studio G stamp, Studio G Green & Red glitter, Stars & Swirls embossing folder from Cuttlebug and MS Starburst punch.  I also used Pebbles chalk and Powder Puff moon blue chalk ink.  Some boy is really going to enjoy this card. Simple Daisies

This is a card I decided to leave simple & sweet.  I used George and Basic Shapes cart. and rounded the corners with a fiskers punch.  The rest was done with MS paper trimmer, McGill flower punch, ribbon, gold pearls and a black gel pen all from my stash.  The paper is from Recollections and the flowers are shimmering.

Hi everyone. Hope you are all enjoying the great summer like weather everyone is talking about.  I am celebrating the start of Spring with my 1st wobble card.  Yessss!  It looked so difficult to do I was not in a rush to try it. Surprisingly, it was quite easy.  Putting it in place takes some patience but once it's on the reult is sooo cute.  I've been stuck with my new cart.(Kate's ABC's) and can't seem to stop using it, LOL.  I just love, love, love it.  I added some dollar buttons and a punched flower w/an old McGill punch from my stash.  I was waiting for the warmer seasons to ccome just to us to use this great Cuttlebug folder of bees.  I finished it off with a Peachy Keen face(PK-493), some Pebbles Chalk & Studio G brown ink/Mango Powderpuff ink. Hide & Tail

This will be a short post for a simple & quick card. I used MS Seasonal cart. & Doodle Charm cart., adding large googly eyes.  I used divine swirls embossing folder and inked the grass with Studio G brown ink. The sentiment is from Clear Stamps which I received from Mary over at Cardz TV.  I also used Mary's idea to make small circles for the bunny hands. What a great idea, thanks Mary!  I hope that the eyes are not too quirky.  Blessings to all.

I had so much fun doing this card.  I don't usually have such ease in making a manly card but this time  I had a picture in mind of what I wanted.  I used the Indie Art cart., Some metal embellies and various words to make this sentiment.  I finished it off with a Sizzix embossing folder and Studio G brown ink.  That's it for now. thanks for dropping by.

Natures Blessings

Happy TGIF to all my bloggie friends.  Even though it was wet and foggy most of the day I still feel Spring getting closer. I am not a winter person anymore and feel excited with the warm weather drawing near.  We all know that as a child we pretty much adapt to all kinds of weather but as we grow older we feel it just a little more. 

Now on to my card.  I used Indie Art(butterfly), Forever Young(flower) and MS Seasonal carts.(scalloped & plain circles).  In my stash I found the charm cross, ribbon, and gems.  I used my fairly new stamp set from Mary @ Cardz TV(Encouraging Thoughts) and the pink flourish die-cut from Sizzix.  I decided to do 3 layers for the butterfly, leaving the top layer wings detached. I cut it real size at 21/2 inches.  The card is 5X5 inches and is a sketch.  Have a spectacular weekend!

Sweet Ribbons

Hi everyone. I am so grateful we had at least 3 wonderful sunny days. Today it was back to being cloudy and the forecast for tomorrow is rain.  I am here with a baby card which is not my usual. I never tried using ribbons like this. I saw this idea on another blog but I didn't really follow a format, so it didn't get as well done as I had hoped.  You are not going to believe that this ribbon is over 13 years old.  I found it in a box left over from my daughter's baby shower for my oldest granddaughter and she is 14 now.  Is that not crazy!  I've noticed I have been putting many old craft items to use now with card making.  The corners, stickers, pearls, and 3D embellishment are from my stash. I decided to emboss the pretty shimmery paper with Cuttlebug folder. Enjoy the weekend.

Some Bunny Love

Hi to all my bloggie friends.  I had so much fun making this card. The cart. is Winter Woodland which I won around Christmas time in a Blog Hop.  I'm sorry I am unable to remember right now what blogger I won with.  I embossed the background with Divine Swirl and Cuttlebug. I added a heart brad for the eye and inked around the edges with Cat's Eye purple chalk ink.  The story behind the button I used for the tail is quite sweet.  I was out one summer day with my grand daughter and she found the button.  She really liked it and wanted to keep it. I washed it out when we returned home and gave it back to her.  She decided she wanted to give it to me for crafting, so I put it in my button jar in front of her which put a big smile on her face.  Finally, here is the project I decided it was perfect for and I will be giving her the card for Easter.  I am sure it will put another big smile on her face.  In turn it will put a huge smile on me.  Have a blessed day.

Sending You Sunshine

I am pre-posting the same card because of an issue with my blog. while editing it erased and now I have to do everything all over.  I used my brand new cart. Kate's ABC's.  Just love it . It has so many beautiful, cute cuts.  I added some borders using MS flower punch from my stash, along with buttons, Studio G glitter glue and Hero Art stamp sentiment.  I followed the Sketh from The Craft's Meow. I finished it off with a flower embossing folder from Sizzex on my Cuttlebug.  Sorry for all the confusion and thanks for dropping by.

I am back with a special Mother's Day card.  I once did a similar card Pre-Cricut, based on my ideas and some 3D stickers I had.  The original one was much simpler.  Since I have learned so much with all of you wonderfully talented friends, I bumped it up a bit adding embossing with Cuttlebug, stitching(faux and real), inking with Studio G brown, metal buttons & lace(Misty/TB Treasurista), flowers(can't remember cart. used), and flower punch from MS. For the egg I used Glitter cardstock from DCWV.  The flourish on the cup is from Sizzex I've had brand new for a while and decided to finally use it.  I finished it with an old vase and tiny flower stickers.  I used scrap paper for the entire card.  Thanks for dropping by to enjoy my work.

It was such pleasant weather this weekend here in NY.  It was a great change from rain and clouds.  It was so wonderful to see the sun shining.  Now on to my card. I used Create a Critter and MS Seasonal carts. for this Spring card.  I added some gems from my stash and hand cut the tree.  I finished it with some inking with Studio G brown and green. Boyz To Men

Hi everyone. I am here with a simple boy/man card. I used Create a Critter cart. for the white background layer and black frame. The rest of the card was hand cut with MS paper trimmer.   The card was embossed with Cuttlebug Circles and Dots folder.  The Silhouette is from Scrapbook Etc.  From my stash I added some dollar buttons and some twine I received from Misty @ MB Treasurista.  I finished it with a Hero Art Stamp and metal brads.  As many of you know and have experienced, these are sometimes the difficult cards to make. This was one of my very 1st cards I made and it is not an original idea.  I scrap lifted it, and just don't  remember from where.  I hand cut the bear and bed. The heart is from a mini punch. I used a black gel pen for the face. I originally started with the Baby Bug, so I used the George Basic shapes for the sentiment and I think the banner was from my 1st purchased cart., April Showers.  I had put the card away and forgot all about it.  I think it turned out great for a beginner.  Have a Blessed day and be well.

Well it's time to throw on your shorts and flip-flops, direct the light towards you and put some ocean sounds.  We have reached destination: love to be there.  I used one of my fave flowers I received from Jani at Paper Compulsions.  She makes some of the most beautiful flowers.  Also from stash I used some floss, 3D stickers and pearls.  I embossed 2 of the layers with Cuttlebug folders.  for the circle I used Create A Critter cart.  Have a great evening.

I am here again with a child's card.  This is the 1st time I use this particular cut on the create a Critter cart.  It is such a cute train and has so many possibilities.  From my stash I used some very old letters that I can't even remember how long I've had them.  Also,  the 1st stamp set I won last year from Pink By Design and the paper(Bazzill and Recollections). I used Momento(Rich Cocoa), Powder Puff(Blue Moon) & Brillance(Graphite Black). That's it for now.

A Beta B-Day

I love Beta fish. They are so beautiful and graceful.  I do have a fish cut but I wanted something more.  I designed this fish and then cut it on glitter and shimmer cardstock.  I used some Studio G glitter and purple gel pen to decorate the tail and fins.  I finished it with a googly eye. I used white vellum paper for the fish bowl which I cut using Create a Critter cart. and the background circles.  From my stash I used some stickers, pearls and Glossy Accents. For the sentiment I am happy to say, excited and walking on a cloud because if you saw my previous  post, you know I several prizes.  I won my 1st My Pink stamp set(More Punny-licious) and I love, love, love it.  A huge thanks to Robyn.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.

Shabby Shutters

How are all my bloggie friends doing?  Hoping your having a fantastic weekend with your families and friends.  I am here still wishing the weather improves.  I am so, so sorry for those who have lost their homes and/or much more. I ask that everyone please join in prayer to help strengthen them and their faith that things will get better.

Now I want to focus on my card.  I kinda went back to Pre-Cricut times.  I did use a small scalloped oval I had in my stash. I can't remember what cart. I used.  I did my own shutter with the MS paper Trimmer, since I don't own any appropriate cart. From my stash I also used stickers(Stickabilities), button, brads(Recollections), lace & specialty paper(Quick Quotes), and brass squares.  I inked all the paper with my brand new Momento Rich Cocoa which I purchased at Cropstop.  This is the 1st time I use Momento ink and I just love the rich color.  Wow, wow, wow, I am also superlatively excited about my winning stamp set I just received in the mail. It is my very 1st Cardz TV  set(Encouraging Thoughts).  I was so excited about receiving it I used it( after staring at it for awhile, LOL).  I thought this week was Christmas from all the winnings I had. To me it is unbelievable and wonderful.  The sentiment I used was one piece and I cut it down the middle to be able to set it up on the shutters as I did.  Enjoy!

Luck of The Irish

Hi everyone.  I am here with a very fun card.  It did take me a long time to do because I don't own any appropriate cuts.  So there I was making many, many tiny hearts to glue them together and hand cutting the stems.  It was so worth it.  I just love how it turned out.  I picked up the idea from when I was searching thru Bing.  While looking thru the different  pictures I saw this idea and did something similar.  I used Create A Critter cart. for the hat rounding the corners with a Fiskers punch and the sentiment..  I just received the ribbon from Cropstop where I won a $10.00 voucher.  From my stash I used  the shamrock and pot of gold embellies which I bought just for this kind of project, with a gift card I won from Michaels.  I also used some flowers from my stash.  I decided to put some glossy accents on a few of the shamrocks and pop-dotted them for dimension. I got the idea from a fellow blogger.  I'm sorry I am unable to remember right now, who.  The weather here in NY is still gloomy.  It's suppose to continue thru the weekend. I hope many of you have clearer and sunny skies.
